Type your On July 19, 2015 WWE Battleground emanated from the Scotttrade Center in St. Louis Mo. The pre-show match was R Truth Vs. King Barrett in a battle for the crown. Barrett won so he kept his King Of the Ring title that he previously won.
The first match of the Pay per view saw hometown hero Randy Orton defeating Sheamus. Orton won with one of the best RKOs I’ve ever seen. After the move Sheamus flew across the ring. This was one of the best matches of the night.
Next the Primetime Players(Darren Young and Titus O’Neil) defeated the New Day(Kofi Kingston and Big E with Xavier Woods.) to retain the WWE Tag Team Championship.
Bray Wyatt defeated Roman Reigns with the Sister Abigail. As usual Wyatt was yelling nonsense and playing to the crowd. I’ll never know how Wyatt walks on his hands and contorts his body.
Charlotte (with Paige and Becky Lynch) defeated Brie Bella (with Nikki Bella and Alicia Fox) and Sasha Banks (with Naomi and Tamina) by submission. This match was unannounced and made no sense. I had trouble following it.
In my other favorite match of the night, John Cena defeated Kevin Owens to retain the WWE United States Championship. It was funny when Owens said “”You Can’t See Me” along with the hand gesture to John Cena.
Brock Lesnar(with Paul Heyman) defeated Seth Rollins via disqualification in a match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Rollins retained the belt. The Undertaker came out and attacked Lesnar. I have mixed feelings about the end of Battleground. It was cool how Undertaker came back but the arena just went black and the show was over. It was an abrupt ending.
WWE Battleground 2015 was awesome and one of the best pay per views I’ve ever seen live!
