Boot Camp

WWE TLC 2016 was live from the American Airlines Center in Dallas Texas on December 4, 2016.    

                The preshow match had the Hype Bros (Zack Ryder and Mojo Rawley) taking on American Alpha(Jason Jordan and Chad Gable) and Apollo Crews defeated the Vaudvillians(Aiden English and Simon Gotch,) the Ascension(Konnor and Viktor)and Curt Hawkins.     What made this match fun was a couple of fans sitting kitty corner from me.    They were dressed as the Hype Bros and were really getting into it.

                The first match of the pay per view was the Wyatt Family (Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton with Luke Harper) defeating Heath Slater and Rhyno to become the new WWE Smackdown Tag Team Champions.     I like Randy Orton as a Wyatt.    It reminds me of when Daniel Bryan was a member of the Wyatt Family a few years ago.   This sort of makes up for Bryan’s time as a Wyatt ending so abruptly.

                Nikki Bella defeated Carmella in a no DQ match.     Up until this point I hadn’t seen Carmella wrestle much.     This match proves she is more than just hot.    She gave Nikki Bella a heck of a fight.

                In one of my favorite matches of the night the Miz(with Maryse) defeated Dolph Ziggler to retain the WWE Intercontinental Championship.    This match reminded me of Shawn Michaels Vs. Razor Ramon at Wrestlemania X.     My favorite part was when Miz was swinging from the belt with no ladder under him.

                Baron Corbin defeated Kalisto in a chairs match.     This was kind of a squash match where Corbin repeatedly pummeled Kalisto with chairs.    At one point Kalisto got thrown into a pile of chairs.

                Alexa Bliss defeated Becky Lynch to become the new WWE Smackdown Women’s Champion.    I’m loving it how the women in WWE are competing in more hardcore matches like the guys do.     My favorite part was when Lynch was slammed into a table that was set up in one corner of the ring.

                The main event had AJ Styles defeating Dean Ambrose in a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.     James Ellsworth came out to the ring and turned on Ambrose to help Styles win.     This was my other favorite match of the night.
